There are many pics I can use to be the title of this, but I thought this was too good to pass up. It’s been an hour since the last guests left, and I wanted to post the pics and quickly blog about what an amazing day it was.
Strods and Durochers came over in the afternoon and we all walked up to the parade which was fun. The kids had fun and we did too. Perfect day, I’m tellin’ you. Perfect.
Then we headed back to the Shimmy Shack for some more fun. The dream again becoming reality. Kulagas and Kopickos came later and we all ate together and hung out for awhile. There were tons of kids in the pool playing. Kids screaming. Laughter. Fun. Awesome. Since the groups were quite diverse, we decided to play a game to bring us together. Apples to Apples. It was fun. Then people filed out. Strods and Durochers lingered. We hung for a bit, then they took off. We finished cleaning and putting everything away, and Grace is upstairs showering getting ready for bed.
Mick and I may actually go for a swim later. I’ve never been in the pool yet. But I’m thinkin’ we’ll probably have to jump into the hot tub to heat up. But all in all, man we had a great day. I’m tired. But the back yard. The pool. The location. And most of all, the friends. The blessing continues, and I sure am thankful.
