Christmas Newsletter

Christmas Newsletter
Originally uploaded by Jason Archer.

It’s a few days before Christmas and I wanted to do a quick post to let you know how thankful I am for this past year. I guess this is more of a New Year’s post too. Many of you may be stopping by for the first time after getting our Christmas Newsletter and clicking around. Welcome! Feel free to forward our site to friends and family that you believe would like to keep track of. One thing I’d love to see more of is comments. You can easily post a comment either on a picture or my posts. That way we can get more interactivity with each other. It’s simply a way for you to let me know what you think. So, enjoy browsing through the site and enjoying the pictures. We didn’t send out too many newsletters, so if you want a copy, I can be your huckleberry. Simply download the PDF, print it out and enjoy. | Download

That’s kind of why I am thankful for this past year. As I was going through through the pictures of this year to put together the Christmas Newsletter, I enjoyed looking through the images and really reflecting on how truly blessed we are. We were able to go on a cruise, go to Disneyworld, lead a Katrina Relief missions trip, go camping, take Micki on a surprise trip to NYC, and much more. As you look through the images of this past year online, you’ll see the granularity of our blessing. It’s in our relationships with people. Friends, family, and friends that are family. We’re truly blessed.

One thing Micki and I realized after we printed the newsletter is that we didn’t really talk much about how thankful we are for the gift of Jesus and how he is the glue that holds our family together. Without Him and our church family, we wouldn’t be where we are today. It’s because of Jesus we are blessed. It’s because of his grace and mercy that we get to list off so many of these things that we were able to do, see, and experience. We truly are blessed. Not necessarily because of the things we have, but because of who we are and to whom we belong to. That’s where the true blessing is. It’s our hope that you experience the blessing and true meaning of Christmas this season.
