Respite

Grace is at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Micki and I are in Tennessee at a golf resort. Neither of us golf. But we are relaxing. We had about 6 books we brought and bought about 5 or 6 more on the way down. Both of us have been enjoying resting by the beach, reading, and resting. Micki read through “Scream-Free Parenting” in two days. I am continuing reading “Wild Goose Chase” as well as “Radical” and “The God of Intimacy and Action”. As I’m reading through Mary Darling’s book, I’m realizing this was what my soul was longing for taking a break from the amazing season we are finding ourselves in. I’m looking forward to writing more about it. We haven’t taken too many pictures. Simply sleeping, cooking simple meals in our condo, and reading meaningful words to leak into our hearts and minds.
