We took off Tuesday for Lansing on a special date. I had won tickets on WVIC a month ago for some call in thing, and we were waiting to go up for dinner and a flick. Mick got Kara to come over and we set out. I must say Mick was looking sizzlin! I went in to change to try and at least keep up with her style and look. Unsuccessful I was.
We went up to the new mall at Lake Lansing Rd, and had some fun. It was a beautiful evening, and we enjoyed not being rushed as we walked through some stores. We had dinner at a place Ann from work recommended. The Claddaugh Pub and Eatery. It did not disappoint. Cool Irish Pub with great food. I had the meatloaf sandwich. It was an onion-laden hunk of meatloaf, grilled. Swiss was melted on it and squished between two pieces of seared sourdough bread. Served with Pub Chips (fries). Different, but good. Mick had the fish and chips. The fish was the most mild she had ever had. The service was good, but the best part was being away together with no agendas hanging out.
Beauty and the Beast
After dinner we were stuffed, and walked over to the theatre. It didn’t have any good movies playing. Just our luck. So we walked around some more, realized we were still too stuffed to eat dessert, and headed home. We stopped at Marshall Music Co for some guitar strings. Cool store. Then headed home early in time to see the Pistons win the NBA Title. It was a sight to behold. We stayed up til the end. Great night. Great date.
