Nothing much going on here. Calm before the storm. Getting set for Pershingpalooza this weekend. Our annual neighborhood party. The house band is practicing at the church right now, phone calls are being made, and people are still RSVPing. Got home to mow the lawn, Mick and G trimmed and used the yard blower to clean the walks and driveway. Mick is working feverishly on her classroom, preparing for the first day. It’s a lot of work. She’s calling parents tonight inviting them to her two open houses as well as just generally connecting.
I’ve got a ton of work to do for Eureka! as well as SAU. Taking Friday and Monday off to do Palooza and rest after. Depending on the day I’m either wound pretty tight or relaxed. Today seems to be more relaxing. Gonna do some work on Somerset Beach’s Web site for awhile and then hit the hot tub. It’s down in the 50’s tonight, and I am lovin’ it.
If you’re reading this before Saturday, say a prayer for us that the weather is good, that our neighbors come, and that we are able to connect with them on a deeper level. Begin to develop relationships with them, so we can truly know our neighbors and connect together. Things seem to be coming together.
That’s all for now. My next post will probably be post-Palooza. And that will be a very good thing.
