We had a fun weekend celebrating New Years. After getting home Tuesday from a grueling 14 hour drive, we chilled on Wednesday. Thursday night we headed over to Strods for our Christmas. Micki got this really cool sign for our tub. It was a fun, but quick trip to be together and prep for the New Years Party. New years Eve we spent at the Durochers for a “Eureka New Years”. It was fun. Had our family Christmas with them. Grace got a cool magic set and Uncle Sam taught her how to do one. She is in awe of Sam and loves magic. The kids played and we ate some good food. After Julie put the boys down, Grace and Savannah watched Grace’s new Barbie vid from Mom and Dad, and the adults played poker. Sam wanted to play some of the fun games we play with Simpsons. Plus he has the cool poker table and casino chips to boot.
We welcomed in the new year with Regis on TV and the girls went upstairs to watch the fireworks. Fun relaxing night together.
New Years Day we had another party in the evening. Strods hosted a shin dig with Mayottes, McGraws, Chilcotes, and us. We had some good food and did some generic milling around. Then we settled in for an outrageous game of Apples to Apples, followed by Cranium. The guys almost won Cranium, but the ladies snuck by us.
